Past, Present, and Future Silver Mining in Creede. August 14, 2010, 8:30 am-5:00pm.


During this trip we will explore the mining history of the Creede area, look at the current exploration of Rio Grande Silver, Inc, and the potential for future silver mining in the area. CFI is a Colorado Not-for-Profit organization whose programs are primarily in-depth, outdoor activities developed to complement those of the Institute's partners that include Rio Grande National Forest & SLV BLM, San Luis Valley National Wildlife Refuges Complex, Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve, Adams State College Foundation, the Nature Conservancy’s Medano/Zapata Ranch, SLV Heritage Tourism Group, and Los Caminos Antiguos.
